This means they can play tomorrow but, as of now, no guarantees beyond that.  There should be additional clarity after the court hears their application for an injunction next Friday.

@thehoosierhuddle The Complaint is well-written.  Filing in Monroe County, if you're going to file in Indiana, is the best choice.  It also makes some very good points.  My favorite one:

"Well-known coach Rick Pitino issued a statement on April 23, 2026 that, while he wants his seniors back for the following year, he had already
exhausted his NIL budget and could not afford them . . . It appears that the exclusion of the Class of 2022 was not based on a principled position to benefit student athletes, but to protect NCAA institutions from having to raise additional funds to pay players."

I saw where Malik Reneau was included in the ruling. I can't help but wonder why Sam Alexis wasn't included. Why did Malik file in Indiana and not Florida?

@justanotherfan That's a personal question for the players. Although I believe Alexis just cant go ask another court in another state if he has an active case elsewhere

Glad they get this last year.  They are going to be huge pieces for us.  I was going to be pissed if LSU was allowed to take players that signed contracts this summer in the NFL before being waived, and we weren’t able to keep Daley and Wyatt.

@paterade The way I understood it based on Z Osterman's description, this is only a 7 day injunction to get them through the hearing next Friday, which is more likely to decide if they are "back" beyond N Texas. This action only allows them to play today, and not beyond.
