I’m kind of torn on it. While I find it entertaining that they fired a guy only to miss out on all their top candidates so far, I also want the B1G to remain strong. From my seat Franklin was the perfect candidate for them. Always competing somewhere in the top 4 of the conference, but usually just not good enough to beat the best. Do they turn to Terry Smith? Even if it shows from an outside perspective they struck out on all their candidates at least Smith is a candidate it appears their fan base will support. That really has Woodson vibes to me, but only time will tell how that would turn out.
Random thought, but does anyone else have problems with emojis that aren't 👍🏻 when reacting to posts?
Penn St is rumored to have lost all their recruits for tomorrow.
The B1G is in an interesting little era -- the PSU and UM are down era. Both schools will eventually fix it, but how long it will take is hard to know. PSU obviously has a long way to go. I'm not sure UM will be much more than a fringe top-10 team at best with Sherrone and Underwood -- they may need a coaching change to be elite again.
That's two huge programs that are down. This has left this big void in the conference's top 4 spots that usually go to the playoffs.
We've popped into one of those spots and we'll have to prove we can stay there (so far so good...). Who else will get in the mix next year? It's not clear. USC maybe, they're spending a lot of players. UM if they fix their offense (huge if). I'm not sure any other B1G programs really stick out now. Things are quite wide open.

I bet Chesney can get UCLA turned around and bet they have the funds and name recognition to do so.
@hurryinghoosiers Maybe. Can’t say I know.
UCLA is a tough job. Some resources but not a lot, limited fan interest, in the shadow of USC, Cali doesn’t have the recruits it used to, travel challenges with the schedule, etc. They’ve been decent over the years but never much more than that. It will take a heck of a coaching job to be top-15/20 or something like that there.
If Chip Kelly could not do it then it must be a very difficult task. We’ll have to wait and see.The B1G is in an interesting little era -- the PSU and UM are down era. Hartline to South Florida.
Chris Kleiman retiring at K-State. A&M OC Collin Klein to replace him.

Cool. I hope Hartline is just a bit distracted this week.
That’s two big name coordinators that have been hired and I keep hearing Lupoi may be going to Cal. So, Oregon will likely have to replace both coordinators. It will be interesting to see if OSU can maintain their recruiting especially of WRs without Hartline.
Hartline gone is a godsend
Sales, welcome to IU
Man what is Penn State doing?
They are signing Cignetti but he said if so much as a peep got out before the CFP he was reneging on the handshake deal.Man what is Penn State doing?
Or some double secret plan like that, I hear.
