That was a direct message to his team.
Big Ten Title! What a nice banner that will be to hang.
Just win, Baby!

I think he's one of the few coaches going where he, and his staff, will approach this B10 championship game the exact same way they approached the ODU or Kennesaw State game.
They'll pay attention to every little detail, like they always do. And part of that is their scout and preparation for OSU. No different than their scout and preparation for any other team they play.
I've come around to the notion that one of the reasons they appear to be more "Vanilla" against teams like this, is naturally, these levels of teams can stop the main parts of IU's offense better than the rest of the teams on the schedule. Its not really Cig or Shanahan changing what they're doing, nearly as much as it is teams like Oregon, Iowa, PSU, OSU and ND last year, being able to stop the run better, put more pressure on Mendoza, etc...
I think Cig and the staff will put everything they have in to this game, like they always do. And since their program is much more based off execution, and imposing their will, there will be no need to "hold anything back"... because their program isn't based on gimmick plays or deception. They tackle better, they out execute, that's how they've been successful. And if they see some things, from this game, that they need to improve or adjust, they'll do that how they normally would going forward.
@iunorth They usually go "vanilla" when they are getting beat up front. The defense will be the key to the game. Get pressure on Sayin and IU has a real shot
