@tammany Yep, I believe it's only in years he also makes the CFP, but then he has to be renegotiated to put him top 3. Believe this was in play when Kiffin got his 13mill LSU deal, which then put him 4th behind he, Smart and Day.
Still woefully underpaid.
I know this is a ridiculous hypothetical, but I wonder what IU would do if Cig asked for $20M per year. Pay it, right? His worth to the university far exceeds that number.
Cig isn't woefully underpaid. He's more or less the highest paid coach in CFB, and IU has been proactive since he arrived with raises. He's been given serious resources for his staff and players. Cig is happy and IU is happy, thus nothing is woefully off.
I agree. Everyone is happy and that could not be better for us fans. I feel this is going to be a nice run with Cig. and I still cannot quite believe it.Cig isn't woefully underpaid. @gr8iufan Shanahan is making $2.4m and Haines is making $3m next year, Shanahan also got a new contract. The 1.6m was the older contract value
@hooky Man, isn't that the truth! I'm working daily to forget the first 60 years of my IU football fandom.
@bucketgetter Bourbon helped me forget about 35 of the 47 seasons of my fandom.

@bucketgetter I dont know about the rest of you, but I typically start games out with a Hoosier Gameday or Bells Two Hearted, and Blantons comes out if I start getting the "oh shit" gut feeling from how the game is going. Im still feeling the Iowa and PSU games from last season.
Plus the gum allowance.Just looked up Bill Lynch for fun. Base = $650K and bonus up to $450K in 2010. Not even good $$ for a coordinator now. Long way baby. Go Hoosiers!
@hooky Off topic, but what's your go-to pour?
I'm not a collector, so I tend to buy what's on sale and have 4-6 open bottles at time. I almost always have Bulliet. Right now I have Bulliet, Redemption hi Rye, Basil Hayden and an unopened bottle of a new one to try - Bondstone Double Oak.
If I'm out for dinner, I'll typically go with a Basil or Woodford.
I bought a bottle of Chestnut Farms for a fishing trip last August. None of us had had it before, and we killed it the first night around the fire. It was delicious, but I haven't had the need to buy another bottle and I haven't seen it on sale.

@hooky Yeah. I don't honestly understand collecting bottles and never opening them. I've probably got 60-75 bottles right now with all but 4-5 opened and shared. It's what the stuff is meant for. I like your choices. We did a mini bourbon trail a couple years ago and discovered Maker's 46. It's become my girlfriend's favorite. She can drink the same thing over and over and over. I prefer to change it up...obviously, I guess.
