I want whatever seed would put us in Atlanta, GA for the Chik-fil-a/Peach bowl! Not too far of a drive from here and I got a free place to stay with fam that lives down there! Maybe the Cotton Bowl in Dallas since I got fam in Austin or Fiesta in Az with fam in Tempe, but would rather in Atl!
@tammany What a time to be alive where we can be upset about potentially being 3rd in the CFP rankings. Wild times!
Yep. Whatever is happening now and I don’t know how or when it ends, but it’s the most exciting thing in IU sports probably since RMK’s heyday (which I can only guess what that was like — it was mostly before my time).

The seeds aren't really tied to specific games. It's still (somewhat) about conference affiliation. Basically, winner of B1G Champ will go to the Rose Bowl this year, probably as the #1 seed.
Look for IU to be slotted in the third spot behind Texas A&M and OSU. There’s still a lot of pro-SEC bias out there that is very hard to overcome. Expect that the committee will give A&M a lot of credit for that narrow pre-conference win over ND and slightly penalize IU for their pre-conference schedule in spite of IU having the best win on the board at Oregon. In other words, prepare to be pretty upset…
All of CFB owes Cig big time for him shaming the SEC into 9 conference games
This is the last year we have to put up with their BS. Tennessee's next opponent for instance is New Mexico State. Next year going to be a lot more distributed losses and should clear up 2 or 3 more ranked spots for more deserving teams
Yeah, I’m with you. I think there are enough metrics to put IU #1. It does not matter anyway because we will meet them in the Big ten Championship game. I’m OK with that!I'd like to think the committee won't use the "they're the reigning champs" argument like most say as an excuse for why they are #1 ahead of IU in the polls. This should be purely resume at this point and if it was a blind resume, IU would be #1. So I think we are #1.
Yea. We really put the CFB world in a pickle when we beat Oregon.
I think the committee follows the resumes for the 2025 season and puts us #1 Tuesday. There is a lot of FB to be played and things can change quite a bit.
Putting OSU over us probably creates too many questions for the committee. If they're all about quality wins or whatever, well OSU doesn't have anything like our best win, and any pretzel logic they present to put us #2 isn't going to look very good. If the committee wants to ding us, they will think they have future chances to do so. Maybe they will get those chances, maybe they won't. We shall see.
I chose 2nd and believe they’re much closer to being first than third.
Committee gives Iowa some credit with a #20 ranking.
Oregon dinged at #9.
IU #2.
Chalk.
If that bracket held up we might be playing ND again, but on a neutral site.
Joey Galloway 🥴
What is he talking about with the “analytics “ says A and M is the best team? And then guy started talking about Indiana case for being Number 1 and he immediately got interrupted.
Seems like head of committee didn’t know what analytics guy was talking about either. But it’s still surreal hearing them talk and realize they are talking about US!
