I had a great night of sleep. I’m ready for game day!
Heading to Publix at 10:30 and then for tailgating at the stadium.
Getting an early buzz on because I’ll have to drive back to South Beach.
Can’t flippin wait!
No sleep issues for me last night. Gotta tell you I'm feeling extremely confident about this game, much more so than the Alabama game (I was concerned about the long layoff) and the Oregon game (it's usually tough to beat a very good team twice in the same season).
I don't think the home field is going to mean much for Miami, as we'll have tens of thousands of fans in the stands. And Miami doesn't have the hunger, discipline and determination that we do. There is no way Cignetti and the boys let this one get away! We're hours away from our very first natty, guys and girls!
I’m just naturally nervous before every game.
Even Purdue.
It seems many think an IU ass-whipping is a foregone conclusion. I, too, am quite confident, but I just don't see 45-10 or something similar to Bama and Oregon ... Miami is much stronger on the lines of scrimmage than those opponents. Moreover, they're peaking right now (I know IU is as well).
I don't like predicting scores, but I agree with those who think this will be low-ish scoring. The two outcomes stuck in my noggin are 24-13 or 28-17.
All that said, it's possible IU puts this thing to bed by halftime. That would be nice. Regardless, Xanax and edibles are on the menu for tonight.
Only got a few hrs of sleep thanks to work! But Ima chug a full case of Gameday Lager when I get off at 5pm to catch up! As far as game predictions go, I see a very low scoring game because both teams try to control the clock. Definitely take the under 47.5 if yer betting!
IU 23 MIA 14
I can't wait for the IU/Michigan game tomorrow, so my sleep was limited as well.
I feel good. The analysts who have predicted us perfectly all season (winning at Eugene, OSU, etc) all think we're going to roll.
I slept like a rock, but I was up too late watching that Rams/Bears game so that helped.
Gonna go grab some supplies and a little lunch around 1:00. Hopefully, Total Wine still has some Gameday to buy.
Go Hoosiers!
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.
