full offense

curious what people think about my offensive depth chart.

i really think ej williams (if healthy) is going to have a big year.

i'm also curious if people are nervous about the qb depth. obviously we hope fernando is healthy but knowing iu qb's like i do...a bit scary.

Good article Jamie. I also get concerned about the backup QB situation. Even if we have just a game and half situation like last year. Not sure how Alberto would fair. He does not have the experience we had there last year, but it is hard to keep those kind of guys on the bench.

And why do I keep hearing Fernando is gone if he has a good year. Carson Beck came back for another year albeit with a different club. Surely IU can find the money to keep him for his last year.

If he’s a first round pick, he will leave. If he grades out below, I can see him staying

thanks!

If you watch the breakdown by McShay, they’re really high on Fernando. Unless something unforeseen happens, he’s going to be here one year. We saw last year, though, that you need a guy you’re confident in not turning into a pumpkin out there.

I like the make up of Alberto but we have no idea how he’d react because we haven’t seen it yet. That’s what worries me.

That said, I think the offensive staff will have him ready to go if he’s needed. I think we’ll see him get at least a quarter in each of the first couple games. They need to…

@iureactionary I can also see it as Grant Wilson is your guy to come in mid game and Alberto with time to prepare

my take exactly.

wilson is a "break glass if needed" type of option but if they know in advance, i don't see how they don't get the guy with the better physical tools ready to play just because he's younger.

it was telling last year that alberto came in before cherry (who i was never very high on in the first place).

Great article, Jamie. I'm very excited to see Roman Hemby and the offensive line. Let's break another record this year!
