@drjb Those numbers are absolutely jaw-dropping! Every single one of those guys had a TD-Interception ratio that is nearly unbelievable. Hoover is next man up. I'd guess ol' Sonny Dykes is going to eat a big pile of dead crow after this season. Eat

@bucketgetter Cig was pretty nice about his response to Dykes. I think he should've said: "well, who was the idiot Coach who kept sending that turnover prone QB out there?"

I remember some comment from somebody early mid last season saying they wondered if Coop felt he should be targeted more. They had some reason they thought he looked unhappy about something, a question on the other recievers usage or something. But most everybody said that was reading something that was not there at all. Never heard anything else certainly nothing public from Cooper.

Pretty sure Coop liked the way things worked out. He was the man! IMO, slightly over Sarrat, slightly over Becker. But in any one game any of those three was the guy. Becker more often down the stretch, Mendoza had chemistry with him and a lot of confidence in him. Each guy made big plays in the playoffs.

Cig every time I've seen it since has tried to downplay it, IMO - "I just needed to have my guy's back". So I don't think he wants it to be poking too hard at another coach. Dykes started the throwing under the bus of course, but also backtracked and said a few times how good Hoover was for them.

As long as his all time favorite Yankee  player is the Hoosier, Donny Baseball, I will allow it.

@openwheel Totally think he approached it the right way... but that's still what I hear in my head when I year the Dykes comment.

Have to say after listening to the Matt Weaver interview and Kyle N (think that's who it was) with Zach Osterman, I feel pretty good about where things stand with Sales, and even better about his abilities. Sounds like both really feel he's as plug and play as a freshman gets and with our likely departures at WR, seems tailor made that he can walk into a starting spot, even if Becker ended up returning for some reason. Staff has done a good job keeping us in it til the end with the likes of OSU, LSU, Bama and UT. The fact that he hasn't committed through those visits also gives one hope. Could be a historic event here in the next few weeks and not often you can say that about July!

PS, Zach and Kyle also reviewed each of the IN signees and he had very high praise for Branden Sharpe who he seems to know extremely well.

@kkott I love Sharpe’s game. If anyone knows Indy HS football it’s Kyle

Not sure LSU and OSU are in the hunt any more.  They both took very highly ranked WR this past few days all most as though they felt the Sales run had ended for them.  Maybe wishful thinking on my part....

@irregulars It is IU and Texas and it sounds like IU is in the driver's seat

@jj_mcclure  It's coming from my conversations with people on staff and our podcast with Matt Weaver.
