@drjb yes, eligibility wise yes he has 3, but I’m assuming he wants to leave for the NFL in 2. That’s the only way it makes sense to leave. I’m just assuming he plays it out like Fernando and bypasses his redshirt year as long as he isn’t injured.
It makes a lot of sense to get paid big money to play his fifth year in college if he is a big time college player but not considered top few rounds in the draft.

Ndamukong Suh in a FB post said says some college players get more guaranteed money than half of the NFL. He said whether that bothers you or not is one thing but his point was the incentive for loyalty is gone.
