Reading in a couple places that the team and coaches didn’t wave during the wave at the end of the first quarter? True or false? I know how stuff like that spreads on the internet.
It didn’t show our sideline on tv.
I wasn’t there, but fwiw.

Sounds like fake news IU didn’t wave.
@tammany thanks good to know,I was skeptical that’s why I asked here,I knew I’d get a straight answer.
I didn’t look too long and didn’t look for coaches. But players were 100% waving.
I can’t say all did. I just glanced down to see. But some did for sure.
and I just looked at the video I took. IU had a group of players/coaches on the field during the break doing football stuff and not waving. So did Iowa in the same shot. Which is understandable since it’s a football game.
Why would that even matter?
So, as we did, its clearly just trolls being their usual internet ##### looking for attention saying otherwise. Dont feed the trolls.
So I have a friend who is a professor at Iowa. He posted a picture that shows IU huddling and everyone else waving. In his picture you can see a few players and a coach waving. I saw another post showing a different angle of his same picture and anyone on the sideline was waving. What I can’t tell from either post is if the turned later and waved or did a quick wave then got back to business.
@openwheel I didn’t say it did matter just curious especially since trolls were saying they didn’t.
I know. I didnt mean matter to you, I meant to them.@openwheel I didn’t say it did matter just curious especially since trolls were saying they didn’t.
I prefer if we join in if most teams do. Shows we are not intimidated, having fun.
Maybe also a little respect for college traditions, is fine, but screw that if some team fans thinks their shit is mandatory. LOL
@tmft i was there as well. And like normal people, we all waved and enjoyed the experience. None of us were looking to see who wasn't waving.
During the post-game craziness and getting out or seats (we never really sat), some Iowa lady was complaining about IU didn't wave and NO TEAM has ever done that. There was some butt hurt fans afterwards, super nice before the ending.
There is plenty of proof of IU players waving. It's a really cool thing, not sure why anyone would bitch about any part of it. Just another acknowledgement that IU football is the real deal. People want to hate Cig.
Nest thing you know people will be butt hurt because we don’t jump around at Wiscy. ( tic)
We should demand that every visiting fan prove that they have googled Cig. Arrive with a printout.
@openwheel That's become such a well-known tradition, there's no doubt it would be news if we didn't wave, and I think that would be a bad look for the program. Heck, it sounds like they did wave, and it was still a story!
Next time in Kinnick I want a few players to do "The Peyton Manning Wave' and moon the crowd in timing.
,
I'm glad we waved.
But it's just college football, not heart or brain surgery.
