Three-Star In-State Offensive Lineman Commits to Indiana Ahead of the Early Signing Period

The Indiana Hoosiers picked up a commitment hours ahead of the start of the early signing period for college football when Randy Holtz announced on Twitter he was going to IU. Holtz, out of R.Nelson Snider High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Holtz is listed at six-foot-six and 342 pounds and is rated as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He had nine total offers and chose the Hoosiers over the Purdue Boilermakers.
In a statement released on Twitter Tuesday evening Holtz said:
“First I’d like to thank the man above for all these blessings and opportunities. Next I’d like to thank my parents and all of my coaches for helping with rides, homework, studying and simple life skills. For developing me into the man I am today. I wouldn’t be who I currently am without them. Now I’d like to thank my teammates. Thank you all for the best 4 years of my short life. You gave me the best memories that I will cherish forever. I am so thankful for all of you and love you guys dearly. I AM COMMITTED TO INDIANA UNIVERSITY #LEO”
