Shamar Jones Officially Signs With The Indiana Hoosiers

Shamar Jones, 6’1”, 271 pounds, Johnstown, PA (Greater Johnstown), DT, 247Sports Composite Ranking: 3-star (80.68)
With the graduation of Nate Hoff and others along the defensive line the Hoosiers needed to bring in some prospects at the defensive tackle position. Jones has solid size at six-foot-one and 271 pounds and is rated as a three-star prospect.
On tape, Jones looks to be quick an athletic while also having the knack for the crushing hit. Jones played four years of varsity football at Greater Johnstown racking up 244 total tackles and 34.5 tackles for loss including 10 sacks. The Pennsylvania native will need to build strength, but has the size already to have a chance at cracking the two-deep as Mark Hagen and Tom Allen likes to rotate in plenty of defensive linemen.
