BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana fifth-year senior return specialist J-Shun Harris II and true freshman running back Stevie Scott each picked up Big Ten honors, the conference announced today. Harris was named Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time in his career and Scott earned Freshman of the Week for the second time in as many outings.

In the Hoosiers 38-10 win over Ball State, Harris matched Tim Wilbur's program mark with his third career punt return touchdown, an 86-yarder, tied for the seventh-longest in IU history. He finished the game with 103 yards, his second career 100-plus yard contest, which moved him into eighth place on the school's all-time list with 389 yards.

The Fishers, Ind., native's 111 overall punt return yards (T-11th nationally) and 13.9 average (23rd nationally) are both good for second in the league. Since the start of 2017, Harris is second nationally in punt returns for scores (3) and is sixth in punt return yardage (377).

Harris returned to action this season after he suffered his third ACL injury in last year's eighth game at Maryland.

Scott became the quickest Hoosier true freshman back to two 100-yard rushing games with 114 yards on 18 carries (6.3 average) and his first career two-TD game. He is the fourth Indiana true freshman rusher to reach the century mark in consecutive contests.

The Syracuse, N.Y., native is second in the conference in yardage (388, T-8th nationally) and third in attempts (69, 7th nationally). Amongst true freshmen running backs, he leads the nation in carries and is second in yardage.

Scott became the 12th true freshman in program history to reach the 100-yard rushing mark, finishing with 204 yards on 31 carries (6.6) with his first career touchdown, a 40-yarder, in the Virginia victory and en route to his first conference accolade. The 204 yards are the second-most for an IU true freshman back, three shy of Anthony Thompson's mark back in 1986.

After securing its second consecutive unblemished non-conference slate, Indiana (3-0) opens Big Ten play and battles No. 24/23 Michigan State (1-1) for the Old Brass Spittoon at Memorial Stadium (52,656; FieldTurf) on Saturday, Sept. 22. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. EDT on BTN.
