Linebacker Micah McFadden and punter Haydon Whitehead earned the Hoosiers two more Big Ten Player of the Week honors after Indiana’s 14-6 win over the Wisconsin Badgers. McFadden led the way on defense with two sacks and nine tackles while Whitehead pinned the Wisconsin offense inside their own 20-yard line four times and averaged 40.5 yards per punt.

This is the seventh time in seven weeks a Hoosier has been recognized by the league: junior safety Jamar Johnson (Penn State), redshirt sophomore kicker Charles Campbell (Rutgers), senior wide receiver Ty Fryfogle (Michigan State, Ohio State) and junior running back Stevie Scott III (Maryland).

McFadden has had a tremendous season thus far lead the Hoosiers in tackles (52), tackles for loss (8.5) and sacks (five). He has also intercepted two passes.

Punters usually go unnoticed unless they do a poor job, but Whitehead has been having another fantastic season. So far this season, the Aussie punter has averaged 42.4 yards per punt, had six punts over fifty yards, pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line nine times and has forced 22 fair catches.
