Over this past weekend, Indiana held a Junior Day, a day where high school juniors visit campus and meet with coaches and take in the atmosphere around IU Football. With around 10 prospects on campus, one of the biggest was Trenton (Tn.) tight end Khance Hill. He was one of the most important prospects on campus for Tom Allen and Co. Hoosier Huddle caught up with Hill last night.

“All I can say is, it went very well. Very well. I really enjoyed myself there and connected with the coaches well. I can tell they want me there and it's a great school to be around. (Sr. Director of Recruiting) Coach (Matt) Wilson and I talk the most, so we have a strong relationship.”

Indiana, being the first and only offer for the Tennessee tight end as of now, says that means a lot to him. It shows that they believe him and that is something Hill wants in a school. Hill also looks for energy around a school and he sees that in Bloomington.

“Bloomington is awesome. It's something I haven't seen before. Like I said, everybody is positive and upbeat. It has great energy. Indiana wants to win. Their motto is 'Breakthrough' and I think it's a great motto for the 2018 class. I would love to be apart of it.”

One reason why Hill is high on the Hoosiers is because of the Tennessee flavor on the coaching staff. Hill wants to be prepared for life after football, and that is one of many areas where he agrees with Coach Wilson and he co-workers.

“Coach (Matt) Wilson used to work for the Volunteers, so it's cool to have something in common, that is we are from Tennessee. Indiana isn't too far, so that's another plus. My timeline for commitment is going to be when I feel right. A little more time probably, then I will make a decision.”

Hill is a 6-foot-6 prospect who can play all over the place. Indiana has a player on the roster from Tennessee (Camion Patrick), something Hill pointed out in the interview. Indiana seems to be in the drivers seat for Hill’s recruitment, and Hill could be a big recruit for this 2018 class.
