All sports are predicated on statistics and numbers, especially football. The Indiana Hoosiers put up some very impressive numbers in their 28-10 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores. Let’s dive into some of those numbers and see what they mean.

455- The number of rushing yards the Hoosiers gained in the game. This came on 69 carries. 455 yards are a new Memorial Stadium record.

566- The total amount of yards gained by the Hoosiers offense. It was the eighth time under Kevin Wilson that the Hoosiers surpassed the 500-yard threshold.

11- True freshman made their debut for the Hoosiers. Kevin Wilson has never been afraid to play the young guys.

30- Rushing yards given up by a stout Hoosier defense. This marks the lowest rushing total from an opponent since the Hoosiers defeated Western Michigan in 2009.

170- Total yards given up by the Hoosiers, the lowest since a win over Murray State in 2008.
