Inside the Numbers: Indiana Hoosiers vs Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Indiana Hoosiers will play their second to last game of the season and final home game of the season as Minnesota comes to town this Saturday. The game will take place at 3:30 on Big Ten Network. The Hoosiers are coming off a blowout loss and have lost six in a row, while Minnesota is coming off a loss and have lost two in a row. Indiana is out of bowl contention and does not have a lot to play for while Minnesota is still trying to keep this bowl hopes alive. That said, let’s dive into some key numbers to know before kickoff.

1)   Minnesota has gone 39-26 Against Indiana All-Time

  • Minnesota currently has a three-game winning streak with their last win coming in 2018

  • Indiana’s last win against Minnesota was way back in 2007

2)   Minnesota comes in a Favorite (-7)

  • Hoosiers have looked horrendous on offense this season, average just 18.6 points per game.

  • Only averaged 3.3 yards per carry.

  • Led by Trey Potts and Ky Thomas, both of whom have over 100 carries this season and display tremendous talent.

  • Gophers O-Line has done a poor job protecting Morgan, giving up 17 sacks on the season
