The Indiana Hoosiers picked up a commitment from three-star tight end Ryan Miller on Tuesday afternoon. The Hoosiers were his only official visit in June and the Ohio native liked what he saw. Miller, a six-foot-six 215 pound prospect, chose the Hoosiers over Auburn, Boston College, Kentucky, Tennessee and others. He held 14 offers in total.

Miller made his announcement on Tuesday afternoon on Twitter along with a statement that said:

First off I would like to thank God for blessing me with such an amazing opportunity to continue my athletic and academic career at the next level. Next, I would like to thank my wonderful parents for always supporting me throughout this process as well as making all of the sacrifices they have made for me. I would also like to thank all my coaches and teammates for pushing me to be my best, and helping me reach this accomplishment. Lastly I would like to thank all the schools that have recruited me throughout my high school career. With that being said, I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to Indiana University! #LEO #Hoosiers

The Hoosiers are looking to fill potential holes at the position after the 2021 season concludes as multiple tight ends, including Peyton Hendershot, Matt Bjorson and Kham Taylor are all seniors. Miller, who was deployed all over the field on offense, would fit right into the IU offense. At six-foot-six he is a big target with good hands and can create mismatches for the defense. Miller should be able to fill out his frame in order to be able to compete at the Big Ten level in both the passing attack and in a blocking role.

Miller is the eighth commitment in the Hoosiers 2022 recruiting class which now sits at ninth in the Big Ten and 33rd nationally.
