Curt Cignetti and his staff have been working tirelessly to fill needs on the roster for 2025 and they can now cross off a speedy slot receiver after Michigan’s Tyler Morris pledged his commitment to the Hoosiers. The news was made official on Morris’ X account this evening.

Morris is 5’11 185 pounds and has appeared in 34 career games with the Wolverines, making 12 starts. He is also a candidate to serve as a punt returner for Indiana with 14 returns for 126 yards in his career. Last year, in a less receiver-friendly system, Morris caught 23 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. The 248 yards led all Wolverine receivers (TE Colston Loveland led all players in receiving yards). In the Wolverines 2023 championship season, Morris caught two passes, one for a 38-yard touchdown, in the semifinal Rose Bowl game against Alabama.

Morris is a former 4-star prospect out of high school ranking in the top 115 players of the 2022 HS recruiting class. He was a stud multi-sport athlete in high school, winning the 15-16 high-jump at the AAU Junior Olympic games in 2018 and amassing over 1,700 yards of total offense and 24 touchdowns on the gridiron as a sophomore in high school.

Morris has one season of eligibility remaining.
