The next two weeks will define the 2013 Indiana Hoosier football season.  Will this team grab enough wins to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2007? Or will fans, players, and coaches be left saying what if?  Indiana returns home Saturday to face a red-hot Minnesota team coming off an impressive 11-point win over Nebraska.  Meanwhile the Hoosiers are riding a two-game losing streak and coming off a bye week where hopefully they have figured out a way to shore up a defense who looked ghastly against Michigan.

Don’t let the records fool you.  This game should be a close competitive slugfest.  Minnesota will look to run the ball on the weak Hoosier D, while Indiana is going to try and use their up-tempo offense to outscore the Gophers.  Saturday is also homecoming for the Hoosiers and the game is a rare 3:30 kick-off at the Rock.  The crowd should be ready to go and the stadium should be electric, yes Memorial Stadium can get loud.  There are no two ways around it, the Hoosiers season rests on winning the game on Saturday against the Gophers and (DON’T LOOK AHEAD) potentially winning a game against lowly Illinois the next week.  You wanted meaningful games in November Hoosier Nation and, and I don’t mean a game like Wisconsin last year; well here you go you have a good one Saturday.  So enjoy the homecoming festivities around Bloomington and get to Memorial Stadium because the very real bowl hopes of this Hoosier team are on the line Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm.
