On Tuesday afternoon Indiana announced a two-game series with Virginia for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. The Hoosiers will be headed to Charlottesville, VA on September 9, 2017 and in turn Indiana will play host to Virginia on September 8, 2018. The Hoosiers and Cavaliers have met twice in recent history with the Hoosiers dropping a 47-7 contest in 2009 at Virginia and a heart breaking loss in Kevin Wilson's first home game in 2011 34-31. IU athletic director noted that "like IU, the University of Virginia is one of the premier public universities from one of the top conferences in the country. In addition to previously announced series against UConn (2019, 2020), Cincinnati (2021, 2022) and Ball State (2018-2020), this matchup is appealing to our players, alumni and fans,"
