The Indiana Hoosiers have gained a quarterback in Jack Tuttle. It was announced Monday morning that the former four-star recruit and Utah Ute has signed his Big Ten tender of financial aid and is set to join the program for the spring semester starting in January 2019. Tuttle did not appear in a game at Utah and had decided to transfer from Utah in October.

Tom Allen spoke glowingly of Tuttle in a release sent out by Indiana athletics on Monday. “Jack Tuttle is a tremendous addition to our program and we are happy to welcome him to IU," Allen said. "He is extremely talented and brings a huge skillset to our quarterback room. We look forward to his arrival on campus next semester and his development as a Hoosier."

Tuttle, who threw for 3,171 yards with 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions, and rushed for 207 yards and a pair of TDs in his final campaign at Mission Hills H.S. (San Diego, CA) will join Peyton Ramsey and Michael Penix as scholarship quarterbacks for the Hoosiers.

There is an Indiana connection here as Tuttle was born in Indianapolis and his father walked on to the Hoosier football team as a kicker for the 1986-89 seasons.
