Hard-Working Safety Kobee Minor Commits to Indiana

Kobee Minor, a hard-hitting safety, committed to the Hoosiers after spending the past two seasons with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. During his time with the Red Raiders, Minor earned the respect of his team. He earned the right through his hard work and dedication to represent the Red Raiders-by wearing number three- a highly coveted number for the program.

Joey McGuire, current Red Raiders Head Coach stated, "talk about someone who has taken his game to a new level, that's Kobee Minor. We were very honest with Kobee this summer and said you're going to have to fight to keep that number and that's what he did. That type of fight defined Luke Siegel, so, in a way, it's almost perfect that Kobee honors his memory this season. I'm very proud of Kobee and what he's done to make this team better."

Luke Siegel was a young man battled brain cancer and lost his life in a battle with COVID a couple years ago. He was 15 years old. His dad Tim Siegel is a former Texas Tech Tennis Coach.

Minor appeared in 10 games during the 2021 season on defense and special teams. In his previous season, Minor was a freshman playing on the scout team. This past season Minor played for the 8-5 Red Raiders putting together solid clips for fans to see. 2022 Kobee Minor Film

Devon “Monster” Matthews is the player who came to mind watching Minor. This season, Minor has the chance to take over for Matthews and hopefully be better. I like what he offers and what his former coaches and players say about him. He is willing to bet on himself and that shows a lot about the young man.
