Sure, it would have been awesome if ESPN's College Gameday had chosen to come to Bloomington. I was rooting for it to happen, but in the end sanity prevailed and Corso and Co. will head to Clemson for a top-10 matchup between the Fighting Irish and Tigers. But guess what? It's not the end of the world. It was a pipe dream that was dashed around 11 p.m., but it is not the end of the world.

Hoosier Nation is still playing host to a nationally televised game in a great time slot. Oh yeah, the number one team in the country is going to be there too. So there should be no shortage of electricity in Bloomington next week when the Hoosiers host the Buckeyes.

It was great to see the fan base unite in a football related cause, but not having Gameday should not put a damper on next weekend. One of the arguments for IU hosting the show was that it would build the program and maybe start some football traditions. Well, that is still an option. Fans make traditions, not T.V. shows.

Now it is  time to for IU fans put down Twitter, take a deep breath and enjoy the heart pumping 4-0 start to the 2015 season.
