Former Indiana Hoosier wide receiver Nick Westbrook signed an undrafted free agent deal with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans late Saturday night. Westbrook finished a stellar IU career with 144 catches, 2,226 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Westbrook earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2019 as well as the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Award honoree from Indiana University. In 2016 he was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection as he helped lead Indiana to the Foster Farms Bowl. He missed the entire 2017 season with an ACL injury. Westbrook was a part of three bowl teams at IU (Pinstripe, Foster Farms and Gator). Westbrook participated in the East-West Shrine game in January.
Westbrook has the ability to stretch the field and while he had a few drops in the open field, can be counted on to make the tough catch in traffic. It took Westbrook a while to get his explosiveness back from his 2017 injury, he showed that he was fully recovered in 2019.
Westbrook stands at six-foot-three and weighs in at 220 pounds. He came to IU from Lake Mary, Florida as part of the 2015 signing class.
