#59
As we hit the Monday portion of the Holiday Weekend we hit 59 days until the Hoosiers kickoff against Ohio State on ESPN at Memorial Stadium. Hopefully everyone has a cold one by the grill, but if you’re working today just take a few minute siesta and pretend you are celebrating with us as we take a look at #59 for the current Hoosier football team, Jack Trainor.
Jack Trainor (Redshirt Sophomore)
-Height: 6’2”
-Weight: 320 pounds
-Hometown: Roswell, Georgia
-Position: Offensive Line
Trainor joined the Hoosier Football team in 2015 after playing both ways at the Marist School. He made 103 tackles and 17 sacks during his career as his team advanced to the state semi-finals twice.
Trainor was a two-sport athlete as well, lettering three years in football and four for wresting. His talents extend past the field and mat. Trainor is bi-lingual, speaking both English and Turkish. He has finished first in the Turkish Olympiad in speaking and second in film production.
His first year on campus was spent spend redshirting. In 2016 he didn’t appear in a game, but did make an impact on the scout team as he won Scout Team Player of the Week for his efforts emulating Michigan State.
Trainor is another player who can impact the Hoosiers’ season by his efforts at practice. Hopefully, his efforts are rewarded with some game time in 2017.
