Countdown to 2020 IUFB Kickoff: 82 Days (Christian Harris)

The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff rolls on as we are 82 days away from Indiana football’s scheduled opener at Wisconsin on September 5th. Today we turn our attention to wide receiver Christian Harris.

Name – Christian Harris

Position – Wide Receiver

Year/Hometown – Redshirt Junior from Wheaton, Illinois

Height – 6’3”

Weight – 190 pounds

Harris came to Indiana as a walk-on after spending the 2017 and 2018 seasons at the College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. During the 2018 season, Harris made 10 catches for 150 yards. He joined the Hoosier program as a walk-on prior to the 2019 season. While he did redshirt the year, Harris made appearances in three games in the middle of the season.

In high school, Harris played football, basketball and ran track at Wheaton-Warrenville South.

Harris’s work ethic on the practice field earned him two Scout Team Player of the Week honors. It is unlikely that Harris will crack the regular rotation given Indiana’s depth at receiver, but he does bring experience and effort. Harris can be a contributor on special teams units and see if he can work his way into some time on offense. Indiana head coach Tom Allen calls Harris “a guy that has a chance to help us in the future."
