Countdown to 2019 IUFB Kickoff: 58 Days (Jake Ostrowski)
/Written by Evan McShane (@veryreasonable)
#58 – Jake Ostrowski (Redshirt Sophomore)
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 242 Pounds
Hometown: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Position: Offensive Lineman
Jake Ostrowski transferred from Ball State University to Indiana in 2017. He then redshirted his freshman season and did not see game action in 2018. The Fort Wayne, Indiana native hopes to be a contributor in 2019 on the defensive line. Weighing in at 242-pounds, Ostrowski is in the midst of bulking up for Big Ten play.
Ostrowski had a successful career at Carroll High School, recording 46 tackles and seven sacks as a senior. He earned all-conference honors as his team won the sectional championship. A trend with recent Hoosier recruits, Ostrowski is a multi-sport athlete, having lettered in baseball in high school. Ostrowski will have plenty of opportunity to make a name for himself on this year’s Indiana team, where depth on the defensive end is always welcome.
