Four-star safety out of Baltimore, Maryland Byron Baldwin is back as part of the 2025 recruiting class. Baldwin is ranked a four-star prospect ranking from 247Sports. During his junior season in 2023 Baldwin made 89 tackles with four pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. He shows great awareness for the ball on defense and can make up ground with his athleticism.

Here is his scouting report on 247Sports.com

Versatile defensive back prospect with experience at safety and corner, was verified hovering around 6-foot-1.5, 180 pounds with a +4 wingspan in the summer of 2024. Earned top performer honors from 247Sports in back-to-back years at the Under Armour Baltimore Camp. Athletic profile is well-rounded with a state qualifying wrestling campaign, 41-4.5 foot personal best in the triple jump, and good combine testing data. Transferred from Calvert Hall to prospect factory St. Frances Academy ahead of his senior season and has been one of the best players on one of the most talented prep defenses in the nation. Processes the game at a high speed and is consistently quick to trigger. Always has been a cerebral zone defender, but has taken a massive leap as a senior in man-to-man coverage. Technically sound coverage defender with the physical traits and mentality to initiate collisions when necessary. Should be viewed as an ascending prospect with the versatility to play early in his collegiate career, plus the long-term ceiling to develop into a potential NFL Draft selection. —-Hudson Standish 247Sports
