Allen's 'LEO' Message Hits Home with OL Prospect from Leo, Indiana Landen Livinston

Indiana head coach Tom Allen lives by three simple letters, L. E. O. It stands for Love Each Other. That message has come across in anything that his Hoosiers do. Coincidently, Leo is also a town in Indiana, tucked just north of I-469 up by Ft. Wayne. Why are the Hoosiers interested in Leo, Indiana? Well, they just offered six-foot-five, 270-pound offensive lineman Landen Livingston out of. Leo Senior High School. Livingston is a 2022 prospect who has offers from Purdue and Michigan State. However, Allen’s ‘LEO’ message strikes a cord with Livingston.
“It means a lot,” he said of Allen’s message, “especially to have it around the football team. I think it’s something that everyone should include everyday.”
“My grandfather, father, and brother all have had the chance to play D1 football and I would really like to make them proud” Livingston told Hoosier Huddle. His grandfather played at Ohio State and his dad played locally at Butler University.
Like every high school prospect, Livingston is hamstrung by the restrictions put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “The thing it really hurts is getting down there for football camps and visiting” he said. The summer months are usually a time where colleges host camps for high school prospects to give them a chance to show off their skills in person.
Livingston’s biggest strength is his versatility and athleticism. He can play multiple positions along the offensive line and can be used to pull from one side of the line to the other. In order to keep in shape and sharpen his skills, Livingston has been working on “lots of footwork drills, pulling, and lots of running to get into shape.”
Livingston posted a video of him on Twitter doing drills in his back yard that work on foot work agility and strength. He has used logs and traffic poles as makeshift weights and cones.
He says Indiana’s “atmosphere is amazing around the program” and that the priority they have set with in-state recruiting in 2021 has really stood out to him.
