2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 39 Days (Nicolas Radicic)

Indiana Hoosiers football is getting closer. Tuesday marks the first day of Big Ten Media Days in Indianapolis and the beginning of #TalkingSeason. With 39 days to go until the Hoosiers open up the 2024 season at Memorial Stadium, we take a look at redshirt freshman kicker Nicolas Radicic.

COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: #39 Nicolas Radicic

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 193 pounds

Hometown: Coppell, Texas (Coppell)

Class/Position: RS Freshman

The Hoosiers’ special teams unit has plenty of position battles to go around. The one with the brightest spotlight is placekicker and Nicolas Radicic is right in the middle of it. Radicic came to IU as a five-star kicker according to Kohl’s ratings. He redshirted in 2023 as he did not run away with the kicking competition in fall camp. Radicic saw his only action in IU’s 41-7 win over Indiana State when he hit one field goal and two extra points.

Radicic was given an opportunity to take over the starting place kicker role this spring, but transfer Derek McCormick proved to be a worthy foe in practice. Radicic did not attempt any kicks in IU’s spring game and will enter fall camp with something to prove.
