Jones comes to Bloomington and will have four years of remaining eligibility. While redshirting last season for the Ducks, he played in two games including the Holiday Bowl against North Carolina. He made one tackle during that game.

Out of Liberty High School in Las Vegas Jones was the state’s top athlete according to ESPN and a top 40 prospect nationally according to Rivals and 247 Sports. During his time at Liberty, he played outside linebacker as well as tight end. His senior season he tallied 39 tackles, 8.5 for a loss and 3.5 sacks. He also caught six touchdown passes for over 240 yards.

Jones picked the Hoosiers over offers from Cal, Texas Tech, San Diego State, and Utah State. He expects to be lining up at the Bull Position.

Jones is a tremendous athlete with a huge frame. He could be the program’s best defensive linemen in the coming seasons if he puts in the work in. This season he’ll be behind returning second year player Myles Jackson.
