2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 29 Days (Kahlil Bryant)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today we look at former defensive back Kahlil Bryant.

Bryant is a former 3-star prospect that was rostered for the Hoosiers from 2016-2019. He was awarded the Corby Davis Memorial Award, given to IU’s best defensive back, in 2019.
Bryant didn’t record many statistics in his first two seasons with IU but was a rotational piece and special team regular. In his junior season he managed 38 tackles and his first forced fumble and a couple of interceptions.
In his senior season he was tied for second on the team with 55 tackles. He recorded his first fumble recovery and several games in a row with 10 or more tackles. He won Big Ten defensive player of the week twice.
