2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 20 Days (Louis Moore)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today’s profile features senior defensive back Louis Moore.

Name: Louis Moore

Hometown: Mesquite, TX (Poteet)

Position: Defensive Back

Year: Senior

Height/Weight: 6’1”/190 pounds

Moore was new to IU in 2022 joining the Hoosiers from Navarro College and saw the field for IU in all 12 games. He made nine total tackles including a sack and a forced fumble.

Moore will play a more prominent role for the Hoosiers this year at safety as he fights for a starting role. “Louis Moore has really stepped up and continues to do so and I think that's been huge for us.” Indiana head coach Tom Allen said during fall camp.

If Moore can take the production from his role as a reserve and duplicate it as a starter, it would go a long way to making a revamped secondary much better.
