Hometown: Irmo, South Carolina (Dutch Fork)
Position: Defensive Back
Year: Redshirt Junior
McDaniel comes to Bloomington as top Junior College recruit with two years of eligibility left. He has a big frame standing at 6’1” over 200 pounds and was a cencious top 30 recruit in his state. Out of High School, McDaniel’s received interested from smaller Division I schools such as East Carolina and Charlotte but decided to sign with Old Dominion University. 247 Profile
At Old Dominion, McDaniel’s redshirted his first year with the Monarchs beforing appearing in all 13 games during the 2021 season. After the season, he transferred to Independence Community College in Independence Kanas where he was the Number one Junior college safety and number 17 overall according to 247 Sports. This season, McDaniels has a good chance at being the Hoosiers starting free safety. He will compete against senior Louis Moore for the job.
