2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 14 Days (Kaiden Turner)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today’s profile features redshirt freshman linebacker Kaiden Turner.

Name: Kaiden Turner

Hometown: Fayetteville, Arkansas

Position: Linebacker

Year: RS Freshman

Height/Weight: 6’2”/230 pounds

Turner came to IU as an all-state selection as a senior after making 83 tackles and 23 tackles for loss for Fayetteville High School. He drew comparisons to former Hoosier All-American Micah McFadden.

Last season, Turner played in four games and started the Bucket game. He made 15 total tackles including a half tackle for loss.

This year, Turner will see the field more as he develops into a more mature player. He got his feet wet last season and that experience should pay off with Turner being in the linebacker rotation.
