2022 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 78 Days (DJ Moore)
/Written by Andrew Walker
The Hoosier Huddle 100 day countdown is well underway, almost a quarter of the way done. Today, we’re going to look at DJ Moore out of Snider High School in Fort Wayne, IN.
Name: DJ Moore
Hometown: Ft. Wayne, IN
Position: OL
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’5
Weight: 315
DJ Moore, after receiving offers from Purdue, Arizona State, Cincinnati, and Minnesota, finds his way onto the Indiana football roster. Moore signed to the Hoosiers as a four-star OL from Fort Wayne on December 15, 2021. He’s ranked the No. 11 offensive guard by ESPN and Rivals, which should immediately put him in contention for some minutes his freshman season. Moore is the highest ranked offensive lineman to ever commit to Indiana, as he joins the likes of Matthew Bedford, Mike Katic, and Vinny Fiacable. He’s certainly got a lot to learn, but the talent is undoubtedly there.
Indiana head coach Tom Allen said on National Signing Day that he is “just so excited about DJ's upside, his potential to be able to keep growing, maybe an inside guy, maybe an outside guy. We don't know. He's played both. Just a big man that excited to get him here and get him training with our football team. Really excited about just the energy he brings.”
Moore could find his way into the starting lineup at guard if he can come into camp and impress.
