The Hoosier Huddle countdown to kickoff is over halfway complete! For the 100 days leading up to kickoff, we at Hoosier Huddle will feature every player from the 2022 roster in anticipation of Indiana’s first game of the season against Illinois in Bloomington. Today, we will highlight two members of the Hoosiers: Trey Walker and Andrew Turvy.

Trey Walker (Redshirt Junior)

Hometown: Winnetka, Illinois

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 247 Pounds

Position: Tight End

Trey Walker is entering his fourth season with the Hoosiers, and despite serving as a walk-on and depth piece the entirety of his career, he has had quite the impact. Five different times Walker has been named the scout team player of the week and he was even named Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year in 2020. Pretty impressive for a guy that did not play football in high school; rather, the New Trier High School product was a three-year hockey letterwinner.

Walker studies sports marketing and management. He has been named an Academic All-Big Ten player the past two seasons and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2020. Walker’s One Word for 2022 is Tenacity.
