Indiana football is right around the corner with Big Ten Media Days coming up next week. With just 41 days left until IU kicks off against Illinois we take a look at redshirt junior defensive lineman Beau Robbins.

Beau Robbins (RS Junior)

Hometown: Carmel, Indiana

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 265 Pounds

Position: Defensive Line

Robbins came to IU as a highly-touted four-star recruit. Robbins earn many honors for his play on the field including being an Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) Top 50 selection in 2017 and 2018, three-time IFCA All-State (2016-18), named to the 2017 and 2018 IndyStar Super Teams and was a 2018 All-USA Indiana team member.

Over his first two seasons Robbins only saw action in two games. Last season he finally saw extended playing time.

In 12 games last season, Robbins made four tackles including one for the loss. He also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. This season, Robbins should see more playing time and be part of the rotation up front. The Hoosiers need more production from the line this year and Robbins gives the unit athletic depth.
