The Hoosier Huddle Countdown continues! The season is only 30 DAYS AWAY; fans, coaches, players, and our staff cannot wait to see this team on the field.  Indiana Football will open their 2021 season at Iowa to take on the #16 ranked Hawkeyes on September 4th. Both teams have been putting in a ton of work to prepare for the season and are excited to take the field in front of a FULL-STADIUM. Today, we are profiling local kid Jordan Jusevitch

Jordan Jusevitch

Hometown: Lowell, Ind.

Position: DB

Year: Redshirt Junior

Height/Weight: 6-1/193

A local kid Jusevitch came to the program over offers from multiple MAC schools. Jusevitch was the first signing in the 2018 class and wasted no time to commit. In his first season on the team, Jusevitch took a redshirt season to work on his game. He earned scout team player of the week honors against Penn State. The following season, Jusevitch appeared in three games and earned multiple scout team player of the week honors. Last season, Jusevitch appeared in three games, all on special teams, and received another scout team player of the week honors.

Coming to Indiana, Jusevitch was a sought-after recruit after having an outstanding high school career. At Lowell Senior High School, he was one of three finalists for 2017 Indiana Mr. Football This came after posting 3,223 all-purpose yards and 34 touchdowns coming by rushing, receiving and interceptions. That same 2017 year, he led his team to the 2017 Class 4A championship. To add, he was also a dual-sport athlete running track and field and also played basketball.

According to 247sports, Jusevitch was the #117 ranked safety nationally and #17 player in Indiana. https://247sports.com/Player/Jordan-Jusevitch-87135/high-school-159843/. During his first year in the program, Jusevitch was determined to get more flexible. https://youtu.be/nN-0Fqo14eU.

This season Jusevitch’s presence will be valuable as he is mature and has been in the program more than most guys. He knows the scheme and playbook well, which will help him get some snaps. While the defensive back position is really deep with guys like Taiwan Mullen and Reece Taylor, Jusevitch will more than likely lead the special team’s unit and take snaps at safety or corner when called on.
