2019 IUFB Target Jeramy Passmore Provides a Recruitment Update

By now if you haven’t heard of the name Jeramy Passmore as an IU fan, it’s likely that you’ve been without any sort of communication with the outside world when it comes to the Hoosiers. The defensive tackle out of Miami, Florida has become one of the biggest targets in the class of’19 regardless of position.
If you follow him on Twitter (@Pmoe_3) by the way, then you see just how much the staff at IU has invested in him. The attention is well deserved though and Passmore has become a bigger target around the country than even a couple months ago when I wrote my get to know article on him. Altogether now, Passmore has racked up a total of twenty-five division one offers, with interest from plenty more.
Passmore is rated as the 716th best prospect nationally by 247 Sports. He’s also ranked in the top 100 when it comes to Florida prospects. IU has recently made Florida it’s home away from home when it comes to recruiting pipelines and that trend doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon.
To give you an idea of what kind of talent Passmore is, I’ll leave you with the number sixteen. Sixteen is the number of sacks that he recorded during his junior season even with a rough start out of the gate. That along with his twenty tackles for loss helped Columbus High School to a 10-2 record. Next year regardless of where he attends college, his goal is make an early impact on the field as well as off of it.
Just last weekend, Passmore made the trip up to Bloomington to catch the Hoosiers Spring game. According to Passmore he loved the visit. He seemed to be really impressed with the intensity that the IU players kept throughout the game specially in a scrimmage setting. One of the many highlights of the trip for Passmore was also the atmosphere. Due to the weather the game was moved indoors and was closed off to the public, but that also helped the coaching staff really be able to show the recruits attending the game just what kind of coaching staff is at Indiana. Overall the trip to IU ended up being one of the best visits so for him to this point.
As far as a timeline to wrap up his recruitment, there isn’t one at the moment, Passmore hopes to bring more of his family back to Bloomington for another visit towards the end of summer. In recruiting things can change in the blink of an eye, but at the moment Passmore has the Hoosiers at the top and all alone as the leader of his recruitment. IU is off to a great start with building trust between them, which is going to play a big part in making a final decision. Making him feel at home is also another factor that comes to mind for Passmore in his recruitment. With the plethora of Florida natives on or getting ready to get to campus already, as well as the amount of effort Tom Allen has given to Passmore, I wouldn’t bet against the Hoosiers in this one. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one unfold.
