When Sean Wracher committed to the Hoosiers, Tom Allen was thrilled to get more help on special teams. Coming out of Saint Ignatius High School in Ohio, Wracher was ranked as a five-star prospect by Kohl’s Kicking and one of the best long-snappers in the country.
As a true freshman last year, Wracher served as Indiana’s long and short snapper on special teams in all 13 games. He played an integral role in Logan Justus’s second-team All-Big Ten selection. Special teams coach Kasey Teegardin heaped praise on Wracher this spring, referring to him as “the best long snapper in the Big Ten”.
Coach Allen has long bee committed to stabilizing his special teams unit, and that can’t be achieved without a solid snapper. Coach Teegardin believes the pieces are in place to have one of their best years. "The unit has a lot of talent… We've got a lot of experience," Teegardin says. "We're more athletic than we've ever been, so we've got to utilize that." Wracher will be a key cog in that wheel as he looks to build on his early success and consistency in 2020.
