Best show on television came back this week. If you aren’t watching Fallout, you need to. Don’t worry about it being based on a stupid video game, I had the same fear myself.

On the other hand it looks like we’re going to be stuck with another season of The Pitt. God that show was THE WORST. As if we need healthcare professionals in this country to have an even bigger head and develop more or a savior complex, here’s a show that depicts them all as overworked superheroes. And woke as all get out to boot. FUCK. THAT. SHOW.

Nobody watch. We can’t allow a season 3. Show’s like that are societally poisonous.

Pluribus is oddly captivating I can’t really explain why it’s good, but I like it.

Love Fallout and Pluribus.  Fallout ultimate plot about the big bad guys I found childish, but it doesn't detract from the rest of the show.  Just should have left it out, though, and made it a mystery.

Your description of The Pitt, which I have not seen, seems just like ER.  Although ER had a lot of non-PC realism to it, too. I remember in one episode a poor black woman getting abortions as a means of selective birth control.  No way that gets made today.

Slow Horses season 5 has been so good. 1 episode left and I can't wait. The only drawback is that 6 episodes in a season isn't nearly enough.

Agreed, although part of what makes it so good is that they don't fill it up with a bunch of pointless plot filler, like a bunch of bs romantic entanglements and the like.

That, and because all the characters are hilariously flawed in some way that the other team members are luckily capable of covering.

Sinners was a fun movie but most Oscar noms ever? Absurd.

Halfway through "Death by Lightning" on Netflix. Very entertaining.

The fact that this stars Sam Rockwell kind of makes it a must see...

I am waiting for Project Hail Mary to come out. My wife and I usually go to Flix for dinner and a movie

I just finished watching The French Connection.  I haven't seen the movie in years.  Still so good and holds up.  RIP Gene Hackman.

I'm gonna be "that guy"

Never liked it - never bought in to the characters or story

Dislike many 70's films

Some likes - to disprove complete curmudgeon status:

Cuckoo's Nest

Apocalypse Now

Close Encounters

American Graffiti

Animal House

Josey Wales

Little Big Man

The Sting

Network

Oh God

and others

Underated - The Electric Horseman

@myteamisonthefloor No skin off my nose.  That might the only movie with Roy Scheider that I like.  I didn't care for Jaws because of him.  Ruined a great performance by Robert Shaw.  Quinn was a great character along with Lonnegan in The Sting, which is a fantastic movie too.

Rewatched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy last night.  Think it is in my Top 10 movies of the 2000s.

I also think it is Oldman’s best performance.

I need to go back and watch Slow Horses to get caught up.  Oldman is top notch and I think Sam Rockwell channels him at times.

Anyone watch Corporate Retreat? I don't think it was quite as good as Jury Duty but still worth watching.
