@snarlcakes when do you think you will be right about our bitcoin?

When? Last I checked I can send my Bitcoin anywhere in the world without daddy government or Jamie's balls granting me permission. We've been right for 16+ years now.

@unclemark i HATE THAT MOTHER FCKER'S POLITICS!!!!!  I THINK HE'S A CANCER.  AN INSIDIOUS CANCER.   POLAR TO EVERYTHING THAT MAKES PEOPLE GREAT.  THAT MAKES THIS COUNTRY GREAT.  but i think he's a real one.  and i think he believes what he says.  and he is an unabashed socialist.  there's no sanitizing it.  he's an arsenal guy.  he posts on arsenal boards.  i think he's the real deal.  in that way i think far more of him than 99 percent of the dem party.  with as far left as the party has gone he might be the face and future of the dem party.  he's not a scummy fake like newsome heels up harris stay at home pete and the rest of the goblins that occupy that worhtless party.  he could be the fetterman of progressive politics but with a better smile and a good personality

He’s extremely good at this. Thank god he was born in Africa because he could’ve been president one day.

The Cheshire grin that never leaves his face, I don’t think I’ve seen his blood pressure rise once.

Once more, when he’s not tearing away at the fabric of western civilization he’s talking about actual mayor shit.

Clean, efficient public transport, snow removal, potholes, garbage pick up.

I never see Brandon Johnson talking about those things. It’s always “end systemic racism” this or “solve the migrant cris” that.

It’s very clear to me why he won. Eventually the tax base will crumble and the city’s finances will collapse. But until then, let the good times roll NYC.

Go Spurs.

This is all so depressing. Just like the GOP f'd it up when it had the chance to dominate by electing normal candidates in the last election, the Dems appear to be heading in the same direction in what could otherwise be a significant change.

I think we can say that about the US right now.  Exploding wealth inequality is a helluva thing...

@bar-down

Yup.  When I was a kid one income could still raise a family of 4.  Some flirted with radical ideology back then but mostly voted down the middle, voted for their jobs.

When I became a working adult, you needed two.  Unsurprisingly, the Libertarian and Socialist wings of the parties really came to life then.

Today, people can't seem to get by with two incomes, and now we're voting for unabashed autocrats and socialists to run our country and major cities.  Jeeeebus.

A worse “helluva thing” is in places where inequality and economic disparity are the worst, the elected leaders are clueless about how to fix the problems.  California, Illinois, New York and the largest cities in those states caused the problems and now they only make things worse.

There are reasons why the South leads a resurgence in economic development and education and social improvement, reasons that leadership of the once great cities of the north don’t or can’t, understand.  The result is the job generating business are moving away.
