I've always believed Republicans eventually win this redistricting race to the bottom. We control more statehouses and Governorships.
Eat it.
and when the tables turn, I'm guessing you won't be complaining when you have to "Eat it" Karma is a *****
I got something for you Hickory.....

They may very well, but the people in the states and areas where it happens don't deserve to get fvcked like that. We aren't nomads.
I hope all of these cases are shut down, regardless of which party it benefits. This type of swing is nothing short of disgusting
100% correct. I would say all gerrymandering is disgusting. For that matter, parties are disgusting. Washington advocated outlawing parties and he was correct.

Looks like they were going to make some delicious pork dishes. What's barbaric about that?3rd world barbarians
I can't even. It is amazing how comments like this don't bother so many in the least.
They just shot and killed at autistic kid's pet pig for dinner. You don't consider this behavior barbaric?

Hmong are barbarians? Seems like we could use more Hmong, less Somalis.
If done by Democrats, automatically illegal. If done by Republicans, totally legal. An interesting court system.

The Virginia law is that the legislature has to pass it in two years with an election between. The dispute is the first passage was in October. Election day was in November, but early voting had started.
The comparison I would make is Louisiana which halted a primary election after it started to redistrict. South Carolina is debating the same thing. Logically it is the same.

The rules in Virginia for a constitutional amendment are that it has to pass twice. A majority of members elected to each house must agree to the proposal, then the proposal is referred to the next regular General Assembly session that follows a general election of the House of Delegates.
So that means the Dems can try and pass it again, then need to wait until 2028 (after the 2027 House of Delegates election) to pass it one more time. Then it goes on the ballot.
Basically Rs got a stay of execution until after the 2027 General Assembly elections.

How do you feel about as many as 40 house seats being gained by Dems due to millions of illegals being imported into their sanctuary cities & states to affect number of reps & take away representation of American citizens?
@spartans9312 it did pass twice, this year and last October. The decision was October did not count as before an election because voting had started.
Which by itself is fine. But Louisiana already had an election started and stopped it. South Carolina is debating the same. An election should be sacrosanct. Once started no changing the rules

Florida and Texas are in the top 3 of states with illegals. Texas alone has almost as many as California. Florida isn't far behind those two.

Do the other 47 matter or just two of the top 3?
