Don't put yourself down. There's something to be said for civility and reasoned argumentation. But, yes, we're in a world of "citizen journalists" on social media with hyperbolic (and often inaccurate) "BREAKING!" headlines, "Real Housewives" screaming obscenities at each other, and the President of the United States threatening hell on earth in profanity-laced posts. And the leader sets the tone.

In my defense, I was thrown by the very sentence you highlight where he implies that the police actually are fighting with ICE. I don't think they are, and read into that Frey's wishful thinking.
