@oneeyedundertaker to the extent we even are a Republic anymore and not some Euro smorgasbord readily conquered and popular, I admire the practical ideal as one of the country’s founding principles.

Minnesota, can allow as many illegals as they want, no skin off my ass.

Florida can execute as many illegals as they want and kill abortion mothers.

But I have a feeling that is where Mark’s love for State’s Right’s breaks down.

"In July 2006, just as Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal sex charge became public, Trump called then-Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter to tell him that Epstein’s activities with teenaged girls were well known in both New York and Palm Beach.

"'Thank goodness you’re stopping him, everyone has known he’s been doing this,' Trump told Reiter, according to a 2019 FBI interview with Reiter contained in the Justice Department’s Epstein case files.

"Trump told Reiter that he was around Epstein once when teenagers were present and Trump ‘got the hell out of there,’” the report said. Trump also told Reiter that he threw Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club. That stands in sharp contrast to what Trump told reporters in July 2019 when he was asked if he had any knowledge that Epstein had molested girls. 'No, I had no idea. I had no idea,' Trump said at the time. Reiter, who retired as chief in 2009, confirmed to the Miami Herald that he was interviewed by FBI agents in 2019. He said the conversation with Trump happened in July 2006."

Trump: “Everyone” knew about Epstein, Maxwell was “evil” | Miami Herald'

"Of course [Trump] knew about the girls, as he asked Ghislaine to stop." -Epstein

@boogie This is why you can’t just release it all.   And if they hadn’t agreed to Jane Doe status and/or were minors they should sue.  Thats ridiculous bs

The hearing went off the deep end.

I can't imagine this does anything to change the perception that she's covering things up for some reason.

I watched 20 minutes of it.  It was clear that she was speaking to an audience of one. "President Trump is the greatest president in American history!" She accused two reps, including a Republican, of suffering from TDS. Lol.   Her responses, interspersed with flipping her hair back, were laced with sarcasm and snark.  I felt like I was watching Marcia Brady Goes to Washington.

"This is bigger than Watergate," said Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky).  This cover-up spans decades, and you (Bondi) are responsible for this portion of it."

I guess you didn't read my post carefully (the cover-up spans decades, Bondi's responsible for this portion of it).

Five administrations covered this up - - George W. Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, Trump again.  Trump and his Justice Department (currently Bondi et al.) are responsible for this portion of it.  And this portion is arguably the worst portion for a bunch of reasons. Trump ran on full disclosure of the Epstein files. In February 2025 Bondi said the Epstein "client list" was "sitting on my desk right now to review." In July 2025, the Justice Department released a memo stating that there was no evidence of a "client list" and that no additional files would be released, walking back the previous narrative. Then the Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed with bipartisan support.  However, Trump's Justice Department has failed to fully comply with the law, the redactions and un-redactions have been a shit show, victims' identifying information and, in some cases, nude photos have been released while many of the men involved are being protected. Bondi punted/deflected/obfuscated/lobbed personal attacks today in response to almost every question that was asked.  This administration continues to orchestrate a massive cover-up.

It’s a dog and pony show. It’s all the Democrats want to talk about now. The GOP has a few useful idiots that were played (3 of them are leaving or have left Congress).

You’re a lawyer….what does justice look like at this point in the process

I would argue that, freed of any reelection campaign and the consequences of Trump's wrath, they've finally found the balls to speak freely and honestly.

Thanks to the EFTA, we all know a helluva lot more now about Epstein and his clients than we did seven months ago when Trump's Justice Department said there was no client list and that no additional Epstein documents would be released.  This concerns an international sex-trafficking ring that included underaged girls, one as young as nine.  Many of the world's richest and most powerful men were apparently involved.  Everyone, regardless of political stripes, should be outraged and demanding accountability.

The DOJ already had evidence of the crimes by Epstein and Maxwell
