@bradstevens Slave-holding Arabs didn't colonize the world. Slave-holding Europeans did. Not saying she doesn't have a point, but there is an actual reason why the anti-colonial narrative is in fact anti-European. It's not just because they hate whites. There's an historical asymmetry that is at the core of it.

Isn’t that just using technicality because it wasn’t a country, rather a religion?
