two of the three videos main videos, in my mind, show him being struck. The”oof/grunt” in the cell phone video. To me it’s clear. Was it a dude getting hit at twenty mph? No. Should he have just taken the hit and not fired three shots indiscriminately? I think so.
reviewing more and more, I actually think he’ll get charged. Now will he get prosecuted? That’s to be determined.
I don't see it, but they're not the best videos in terms of angles and view.
I think Minnesota will try and charge him, but not sure it'll go anywhere.
Things need to settle way down.
You are unwilling to see it…
That's bullshit.
If I thought he was hit, I'd say so. I trust my own eyes.
I posted the video above and it shows she clearly hit him.
You posted a video that was sped up that gave the illusion he was hit and drug, which is patently false.
Trump claimed that in this incident the officer was "run over", "dragged", and was "lucky to be alive"
lie, lie, and lie
Did his trousers get ruffled in a glancing blow? Maybe. It's pretty hard to get hit when both of your feet are outside the left side of the SUV. But maybe he leaned in for a hip check.
Did he walk away like nothing happened to him and call her a "fucking bitch"? Yes.
Was there any reason whatsoever for him to go to a hospital? No. He must be a soccer flopper.

When do we care about fraud? In 2019, Philip Esformes was convicted of $1.3 billion of Medicare fraud. In 2020 the president at the time commuted his sentence. So he served one 20th of his sentence for $1.3 billion. Was fraud just not a problem.
While Rick Scott was CEO of a healthcare group, the corporation was convicted of fraud and paid $1.7 billion in fines. He was "forced" to take a massive amount of money to resign. Florida cared so much about fraud they have elected him Senator.
So when does fraud matter? If you want, I can name others convicted of fraud who have been pardoned.
Fraud, drug trafficking, and even nonconsentual sex with underaged girls is excusable by MAGA types, so long as the perpetrator is on "their team" or at least paying the multimillion dollar pardon fee.

@shooter@arthur-dent It's worse because we brought these people here. Like inviting a dinner guest and they steal from you while you're in the kitchen. It's also stupid because this isn't a culture that is likely to assimilate very well. It's dumb on so many fronts.
But I don't like your argument and I think you don't like it when Trump supporters have used it before to turn a blind eye towards his own appearance of govt impropriety. Two wrongs don't make a right.

The other angle that might make this more politically relevant is that (1) this is a large demographic of voters who apparently can turn an election in MN, and (2) people--falsely--believe that this money generated tens-of-milliions in kickbacks to Dem politicians because of intentionally fraudulent Twitter posts:
@bradstevens two wrongs do not make a right. I am all for getting to any fraud in Minnesota that is there. Though I will note the main person who was originally involved was not Somali but a White woman born in the US. We should go get anyone conducting fraud, be they White, Black, foreign, American. Are there people urging Somalis to be let off, or given positions of power? If so, they are wrong.

It always matters, but it matters much more when committed by people that shouldn’t be here in the first place, have come here primarily to commit fraud, & are stealing from taxpayers as opposed to a private entity.
