Actions have consequences. We agree. The consequences of the stupid mistake by the driver in Minneapolis should not have been 3 shots in the face from the side, by an officer not in harms way.

She wasn’t assassinated. She was shot because she impeded a federal law enforcement operation, failed to comply, & put an agent’s life in danger.
She was expected to exit her vehicle. That was the command. That she chose to ignore and disobey that command is one of the decisions (along with those of the ICE agent) which led to her death. ICE officers are not traffic cops. To my understanding, they had neither cause nor authority to demand her to leave the car. They have authority to apprehend persons who with probable cause are suspected of being undocumented.
Even if they had the authority to do so, however, their OWN, WRITTEN REGULATIONS demand that they not use deadly force in that situation. If they merely followed their own rules, she would not be dead. Full stop.

I'm reasonably certain ICE has the authority to apprehend people disrupting their official duties or otherwise blocking them from the performance of same. Additionally, the city of Minneaoplis virtue signaling by not allowing their own police department to provide crowd control for ICE also contributed to this situation. Using police in this manner (or barring them from providing service to their community) is abhorrently childish and petulant. Again, put the adults in charge. as to federal regulations, i won't comment except to say that your perusing Reddit or X doesn't make you an expert and that I suspect that deadly force can be used in any instance where law enforcement believes they are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm. I cannot imagine why regulations at any level would NOT allow it.
